Nie wiem, czy w sztukach plastycznych jest "kryterium pleców", czy w ogóle istnieje jakiś - dajmy na to - czeladniczy egzamin, na którym uczeń ma "zrobić plecy" - i jak je zrobi, to znaczy, że coś umie. Ale przyjrzyjcie się - nie omijając, ma się rozumieć, innych ujęć - jak Wantuch fotografuje plecy, a pojmiecie jak wiele on umie i wiele widzi. Jak oświetlona jego obiektywem płaszczyzna pleców niebywale bywa zmysłowa i zarazem nierealna, realistyczna i abstrakcyjna, symboliczna i werystyczna. Jeśli istnieje fotografia esencji nagości, fotografia nagości samej w sobie, to jest to fotografia damskich pleców przez tego autora uczyniona. Whether we admire or desire. Janusz Głowacki One of the elements in Wantuch′s vision of the world and his photography is surprise. It is a process of feedback in which effect influences cause: the amazing aspect of reality surprises the artist. And thanks to the frame of his photograph reality becomes surprising because it is seen from a different, unusual perspective. Perhaps Leger was right saying that the aim of art is not beauty but truth. Beauty is but a signal that truth has been attained. And nobody can deny the beauty of Wantuch′s works. For me personally the artist's choice is precious, as he publishes from a multitude only those images which together compose a sepia-tone poem on the unique beauty of Cracow.
